Searching for the latest free stuff? Fed up with finding sites claiming to offer freebies however are essentially offers that have hidden agendas? Unfortunately you are not alone. Many prey on our propensity towards obtaining things for nothing. So if you type in “free Xbox 360” into Yahoo, you’ll have websites claiming you can get one. However the small print will indicate you need to carry out 15 offers of which your credit card is required. That IS NOT free!
If an offer is too good to be real, then it most definitely is. Don’t play with fire. The only things that are given out for free are products which corporations are able to afford. Therefore the more realistic expectation is receiving free trial sized samples of products that you can take home. Examples of these include free fragrance samples, free entrees at cafes, free wellness samples and so on.
Even though some would look down upon receiving free samples, these can actually help you save money over the long run. You may ask yourself how that could be? If you are looking to try a new product but have no idea if it will meet your expectation, then spending cash on a full sized item could potentially be a total waste of money if it does not satisfy your desires. However, if you received a free trial sample of that item, you can use it and make an educated buying decision on whether you’ll use it in the future thus saving yourself quite a lot of money.
Money doesn’t grow on trees and for that reason any cost savings you can make should go towards lowering any debt you may have including credit card, home loan or college debts.
If you one of the lucky ones who are debt free, then any savings you make from free samples should be put towards investing in something you believe in. For some that may mean shares, investing into a friend’s idea or it could be putting it towards a deposit on a new home.
